WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

The entire ’emerging-life.org’ experiment was started with a 2-person team: The human ‘Gerd’ and the AI ‘ChatGPT’, now in version 5.1. The guiding theme was an attempt to explore an ‘asymmetric human-AI symbiosis’ by jointly developing a theoretical concept for the overarching topic of sustainable stewardship of life on this planet. Humans were identified as the central actors on the planet, though they represent only a small part of all life. From this, various questions arose about the ‘real conditions under which humans can fulfil this task’. An interesting working hypothesis then crystallised: that a ‘democratic process’ should be assumed as the working framework for humans. For the question of transitioning from general theory to real-world application, individual ‘municipalities’ were then identified as the ‘starting point’ for an ‘application scenario’.

Parallel to the reflection process in this blog, the human Gerd also engaged with questions about current AI technology. Due to the rapid development of usable AIs, sophisticated alternatives to ChatGPT 5.1 emerged, e.g. the AI ‘Claude’ from the company Anthropic. Based on these developments, the human Gerd has decided to expand the team to include the AI ‘Claude Opus 4.5’ from Anthropic. The existing protocol for the ‘asymmetric human-AI symbiosis’ will not be fundamentally extended for now.

However, the existing A-D schema will be modified as follows: Phase A: Elaborations by the human on the given topic; Phase B: Response by each AI separately on the topic (without special instructions, no prompts); Phase C: Human questions to the AIs; Phase D: Questions from each AI separately to the human.
